August 2021Gallup polled 1,016 U.S. adults May 3-18 on their views about transgender-related issues. Respondents were asked if “transgender athletes should be able to play on the sports teams that match their current gender identity (or) should they be allowed to play on sports teams that match their biological gender?”

Among the findings, 62% expressed support for allowing trans-identified athletes to play only on teams that match their biological sex.

Support peaked among Republicans (86%), self-described conservatives (85%), and males (72%). Meanwhile, 34% of U.S. adults believe trans-identified athletes should be allowed to play on sports teams that correspond with their chosen gender identity rather than biological sex. In that category, most support was found among self-described liberals (63%), Democrats (55%), women (43%), and college graduates (40%).

“Christians must continue to present the truth to the American people because the radical advocates of gender insanity will continue their assault on reality,” said Ed Vitagliano, AFA executive vice president. “Gender and sexual radicals hate God so much that they are willing to deny what is true and honorable.”
