February 2005 – A.G. Lafley, CEO of Procter & Gamble (P&G), recently gave $5,163 in P&G stock to help the homosexual community repeal a law in Cincinnati that prohibited giving special rights to homosexuals.
Citizen’s for Community Values (CCV), a pro-family group headquartered in that city, uncovered that information while examining Ohio campaign finance reports.
CCV also discovered that P&G gave $40,000 in corporate funds to help in the law’s repeal.
AFA chairman Don Wildmon said, "Under the leadership of Chairman Lafley, P&G has been one of the strongest corporate sponsors of the homosexual agenda in the country."
The company also approved a leave of absence for a high-ranking P&G official to head up the homosexual effort in Cincinnati. The company issued a bulletin to its employees stating that if they did not support the homosexual agenda in Cincinnati, they were "out of step" with the culture, and that endorsing the homosexual agenda in the city was the "right" thing to do.
While P&G was pushing the homosexual agenda in Cincinnati, the company refused to support a statewide amendment to the Ohio Constitution banning homosexual marriages. P&G’s response to the Ohio amendment was to "let the voters decide."
"Of course, the voters also decided the issue in Cincinnati," Wildmon said. "But while P&G helped voters in Cincinnati decide to promote the homosexual agenda, they refused to help the voters support traditional one man-one woman marriage."
P&G has been a leading sponsor of two TV shows that promote homosexuality – Will & Grace and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy – investing over $10 million dollars in just a few month’s worth of advertising on those programs.
The company actively seeks out individuals who practice the abnormal and destructive homosexual lifestyle to come to work for the company. Its company logo and corporate contact information have appeared on the top homosexual job recruiting site in America.
P&G regularly supports pro-homosexual media with advertising. Yet, when homosexuals complained, the company quit advertising on the Dr. Laura radio talk show because of her politically incorrect view that homosexuality is wrong.
The homosexual advocacy organization Out & Equal Workplace Advocates lists P&G as a major sponsor of its "workplace summits," which are held to promote homosexuality in the corporate world.
AFA began the P&G boycott because of the company’s promotion of the homosexual agenda. In addition to AFA, other groups participating in the boycott include Focus on the Family (Dr. James Dobson), The Center for Reclaiming America (Dr. James Kennedy), American Values (Gary Bauer), Point Of View Radio, Council for National Policy Action Inc., Exodus International, Faith2Action, Vision America, Free Market Foundation and Cornerstone Policy Research.
