July 2006 – The AFA boycott of the Ford Motor Company continues to draw attention to the automaker's brazen promotion of homosexuality and same-sex marriage.

One of AFA's complaints was the company's habit of advertising in homosexual magazines that pushed the gay agenda, but Ford has only ramped up such sponsorship.

"This is how Ford has responded to the concerns of pro-family America. They increased their pro-gay advertising," said AFA Chairman Don Wildmon. "That is a defiant attitude that will only add fuel to this boycott."

Wildmon noted that in the June 6 issue of The Advocate, perhaps the most widely read magazine in the homosexual community, Ford sponsored the publication with a full back-cover ad for Volvo (a Ford product) and a full-page inside ad for all Ford brands.

The latter advertisement contains the line: "Ford Motor Company. Standing strong with America's families and communities." The cover reads: "Polygamy & Gay Men. Dirty laundry or sexual freedom? How gay men handle multiple partners."

Inside, the article not only applauds polygamy, it also calls pro-family groups that oppose same-sex marriage bigots who "use the fears of others to try and undercut equality and liberty."

Ford's claim that it is not supporting same-sex marriage is a sham," said Wildmon. "This company has sided with sexual radicals that are trying to transform this culture into a contemporary version of Sodom and Gomorrah."

The automaker's zealous advancement of the homosexual agenda was also manifested when Ford advertised in the May 2006 issue of raunchy OUT Magazine, another gay publication. Articles in that issue included "Nightlife: Party A11 the Time" and "Porn 2 Go."

The automaker bought a full-page ad in OUT featuring all eight of its auto brands. According to AFA Director of Special Projects Randy Sharp, it was the first time that Ford had advertised all of its brands in a homosexual publication.

Sharp said OUT is egregious in its sexual content, and added that because the ad came right after the highly publicized introduction of the boycott by AFA and other pro-family groups, Ford's intention is clear.

"Without question, Ford is renewing its commitment to the homosexual agenda, which includes as its top priority gay marriage in America," he said.

According to Sharp, Ford stock recently slipped to its lowest value in 20 years, which he believes is linked to the company's anti-family decisions.  undefined
