September 2006 – Ford sales falter and stock values decline. But Ford Motor Company has made yet another donation to a pro-homosexual marriage organization.

Ford is listed by Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) as being a Topaz sponsor of the group. PFLAG does not post the amount of money it takes to be a Topaz sponsor.

PFLAG is a leader in promoting the pro-homosexual agenda and the legalization of homosexual marriage. The organization’s public policy statement concerning same-sex relationships is clear: “PFLAG … therefore, supports revision of federal and state statutes to extend to persons in same-gender committed relations the right to marry with the full legal rights and benefits, as well as responsibilities and obligations.”

“Ford obviously agrees with the goal of PFLAG to legalize homosexual marriage, or else they would not have made the donation to PFLAG,” said AFA Chairman Don Wildmon. “I find it hard to believe that Ford would donate money to a group without taking a close look at what the group stands for.”

Ford declined to make a comparable grant at the request of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX), a group helping homosexuals come out of the lifestyle.

AFA’s research, in fact, has failed to discover a single instance in which the automaker gave a donation of any amount to any group that either tries to help people leave the homosexual lifestyle or to pro-family groups fighting to preserve traditional marriage.

“Ford says they are committed to diversity, but the company’s definition of diversity is evidently confined to supporting only pro-homosexual organizations,” Wildmon said.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Ford “donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to homosexual groups, sponsors gay pride parades, and holds mandatory diversity training….”

Before beginning a boycott, more than 40 pro-family leaders urged Ford to remain neutral in the culture war. Ford refused and chose to continue financial support of gay and lesbian groups and their pro-homosexual marriage agenda.

Ford sales have consistently fallen since AFA began the boycott, dropping 5% in March, 7% in April, 2% in May, 6.8% in June, and 4.1% in July.
