April 2015 – Fewer Americans are satisfied with current abortion laws than has been the case since 2001. Only 34% of those polled in January are happy with current laws, while 48% aren’t. Gallup found that of those who are not satisfied with current laws, 24% want stricter laws, compared to 12% who want less restrictive abortion laws.
America also saw a wave of efforts to fight human trafficking. In January, the U.S. House of Representatives passed 12 bills that would impose stricter laws against human trafficking and the commercial sex industry.
The bills must now pass through the Senate, but congressmen see more hope for passage than in the last four years of sending such bills to the Senate.
