AFA initiatives, Christian activism, news briefs

March 2015 – Many AFA supporters who are fans of the popular cable show 19 Kids and Counting (TLC) no doubt contributed to its remaining on the air after homosexual activists demanded the program be dumped.

Because of the Duggar family’s uncompromising stand on marriage and abstinence, the homosexual lobby launched a rant-filled petition asking TLC to cancel its top-rated show.

Members of the Duggar family have shared their strong Christian faith with millions of families across America for years. They are unashamedly pro-life and Christ-centered, and when they stood up for natural marriage, homosexual activists took note and demanded the show be canceled.

AFA responded with a petition of its own, which garnered over 165,000 signatures encouraging TLC to continue airing 19 Kids and Counting as wholesome family programming on television.

It looks as if TLC will keep the Duggars on the cable network.

“This was a great win for faith and values, and we want to thank AFA supporters for letting their voices be heard,” said Randy Sharp, AFA director of special projects. “Christians must not allow homosexual bullies to silence them as they boldly proclaim God’s truth.”
