March 2015 – Gallup has ended every year since 1990 by asking Americans what professions they see as the most honest and ethical in the country. The 2014 poll asked about 11 specific vocations. Nurses topped the list.
Congress continued a downward trend with only 7% of responders believing their representatives govern by high moral or ethical standards.
The largest change from 2013 was a 6% drop in how many people trust police officers.
Only 46% of respondents believe clergy members have high moral or ethical standards.
