December 2016 – Retiree Opal Singleton (photo above) had no plans of becoming a warrior for vulnerable children. But in 2008, she could not ignore the calling to found Million Kids in connection with Rapha House, a nonprofit anti-human trafficking organization.

“I can’t tell you I went willingly,” Singleton said. “I was retired and didn’t want to get involved. But God arranged the whole thing.”

An initial focus on Cambodia, Thailand, and Haiti soon shifted as Singleton recognized the need closer to home.

“I began to see more and more trafficking here in southern California,” she said. “In 2010, local law enforcement asked me to be a training coordinator, so I began writing curriculum for school officials, churches, and government agencies.”

On May 26, Singleton launched a global radio show, Exploited! Crimes Against Humanity, that broadcasts to 127 countries.

“The show includes case analysis with law enforcement and first responders, information on new technology and apps that predators use, and information on what’s happening around the world,” Singleton explained.
