January 2017 – At press time, Target stores remained committed to anything-goes bathroom policies for the holidays. Allowing men to use women’s facilities during the hectic Christmas season would obviously have increased the likelihood that more women or young girls would be assaulted at Target.
“AFA will continue to raise the issue of this irrational and irresponsible policy,” said executive vice president Buddy Smith. He urged readers to continue the boycott and if they have not already done so, sign the boycott pledge at afa.net.
As AFA Journal goes to press, over 1.4 million people have signed the pledge.
