July 2021 – When Japan’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes' (FCA) director, Will Thompson, heard the 2020 Olympics were coming to his country, he began praying for an opportunity to share the gospel. But when COVID-19 caused the games to be postponed, FCA’s plans changed.
Instead of letting the news bring them down, the team saw it as God opening doors for 2021. Thanks to the extra time, they developed an Olympic Bible they hope to give each Japanese coach and athlete.
“God is using this pandemic for His Kingdom purpose,” Thompson said. “We pray and believe that what the enemy uses for evil, God will turn around for good. We’re believing God is preparing an awakening and bringing people to Himself.”
