July 2021 – Since January, 536 pieces of pro-life legislation have been introduced across the nation. In 13 states, 61 laws have been passed.
The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute is not happy about it. In an April 30 press release, its authors lamented, “If this trend continues, 2021 will end up as the most damaging anti-abortion state legislative session in a decade – and perhaps ever.”
While the Biden administration continues to expand abortion through every mechanism within its power –executive order, the Title X Family Planning Program, HHS, FDA, etc. – states have been busy introducing abortion bans (146) that have the potential to challenge and overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that ushered in the federal right to abortion on demand.
