June 2014 – “Jesus is Muslim,” reads a billboard in Columbus, Ohio. The message on the billboard, placed by an Islamic group called Ask a Muslim, also refers viewers to “seek the truth” at the Muslim organization’s website. Another billboard message from the same group claims, “Mohammad is in the Bible.” Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet, and they consider all prophets to be Muslims.

The Ask a Muslim website states, “Muslims are Christians, if ‘Christian’ means someone following the teachings of Christ, so by learning about Islam, you are not disobeying Jesus.”

Alex McFarland, Christian apologist and co-host of AFR’s Exploring the Word, said the billboard represents a campaign to “convert America to Islam and part of the strategy for doing this is to spread misinformation and disinformation about Christianity.”
