December 2015 – The Internet is crowded, and website names are often sold for several thousand dollars. The .com, .net, .org, and .edu domains have become commonplace in today’s lingo, and American Bible Society wants to add a new domain to that list. ABS recently launched .Bible, a domain that Andrew Hood, spokesman for ABS, said will be a safe and trusted place for the Bible on the Internet.
The new initiative is part of ABS’s digital strategy to see 100 million Americans engaging with the Bible and 100% of the world’s languages translated for Bible engagement.
Several sites are already live on the .Bible domain, including ABS itself, which changed its website (above) to American.Bible.
