June 2016 – Shortly after North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory signed HB2, a law that would require a person to use the bathroom for the gender assigned on his or her birth certificate, PayPal announced it was pulling plans to open a new global operations center in Charlotte as punishment.

In response, AFA has canceled its use of PayPal and encourages others to do the same.

AFA continues to support the North Carolina law and other similar laws that protect women and children by preventing them from being left vulnerable to predators.

“If you have a PayPal account, we urge you to cancel it today,” said Ed Vitagliano, AFA VP. Learn more at afa.net/paypal. (See related story here.)
