March 2016 – In the November 2015 Evangelical Leaders Survey from National Association of Evangelicals, 29% of evangelical leaders indicate they have adopted a child into their own families through domestic adoptions. “As people who take the Bible seriously, adoption is a topic that is hard to ignore,” said NAE president Leith Anderson. “Being adopted as God’s children is a strong theme throughout the Bible, and adoption is at the heart of the story of Moses, who led God’s people out of Egypt.”
