May 2018 – AFA’s new documentary, The God Who Speaks, was named “Best Documentary” at the recent Christian Worldview Film Festival in Franklin, Tennessee.

The annual film festival showcased the work of Christian filmmakers and honored the best in 10 categories.

Written and produced by American Family Studios, AFA’s media production division, The God Who Speaks explores the truth and authority of the Bible in a powerful 90-minute documentary. (See story here.)

The God Who Speaks is available now on DVD and digital rental and features some of the world’s most respected biblical scholars who shed light on the authority of the Bible’s truths. These include the late R.C. Sproul of Ligonier Ministries, Alistair Begg of Parkside Church, Norman Geisler of Veritas International University and co-founder of Southern Evangelical Seminary, Josh McDowell of Josh McDowell Ministries, R. Albert Mohler of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Alex McFarland of Alex McFarland Ministries, and Frank Turek of Cross Examined Ministries, along with many others.

“All of us at AFS are honored by the Best Documentary accolade,” said M.D. Perkins, director of The God Who Speaks. “For everyone who worked on the film, it was a labor of love – our love for the truth of the Bible, for the historical significance of how the Bible has reached every believer today, and most importantly, our love of God and His Son, Jesus.”

The God Who Speaks is also an official selection at the International Christan Film Festival in May.
