May 2018 – A study conducted by American Culture and Faith Institute examining popular views on abortion found that adults under the age of 30 were not as much against abortion as pro-life studies had once suggested.
When compared to older generations, adults 30 and under were found to be:
▶ Less likely to believe that all human life is sacred (53% vs. 65%) ▶ Less likely to believe that the U.S. Constitution recognizes the value of every human life (55% vs. 76%) ▶ Less likely to believe that abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances (25% vs. 36%) ▶ Less likely to say that abortion is murder, regardless of the age or health of the unborn child (46% vs. 56%) ▶ Less likely to describe themselves as “pro-life” (30% vs. 39%) ▶ More likely to want the federal government to maintain or increase the amount of funding given to Planned Parenthood (57% vs. 47%) ▶ More likely to describe themselves as pro-choice (51% vs. 46%)
