May 2019 – Love One Another, the theme for the May 2 National Day of Prayer, is a commandment of Jesus: “Love one another, just as I have loved you” (John 13:34). The annual event has been observed since 1952, and President Ronald Reagan signed it into law in 1988, designating the first Thursday in May for the emphasis.

“It’s a sacred time when God’s people gather to pray for this nation,” said AFA VP Buddy Smith. “There’s still time to find an event in your city or neighborhood, or organize one. Join with fellow believers as we pray for America.” (Learn more and find resources at nationaldayofprayer.net.)
