March 2020After viewers complained about Hallmark Channel commercials produced by the Zola wedding planning company featuring lesbian couples, Crown Media, the parent company of Hallmark, pulled all four of the controversial ads. Within a few days, the Hallmark Channel reversed its decision, apologized to Zola, and reinstated the LGBTQ ads during its traditionally family friendly slate of Christmas movies.

Despite pleas from several family advocacy groups, including AFA’s One Million Moms, Hallmark evidently plans to continue its support of the LGBTQ agenda, even indicating that it will begin production of holiday films with gay characters and themes.

“We will continue to look for ways to be more inclusive and celebrate our differences,” stated Mike Perry, CEO of Hallmark Cards Inc., in his official apology to Zola.
