December 2021In honor of National Voter Registration Day, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke to students at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, on September 28. After her speech, students were allowed to question Harris. A female student asked why the U.S. continues to provide money to Israel and Saudi Arabia while Israel, according to the student, commits “ethnic genocide and displacement of [Palestinian] people.”

Harris lavished praise on the student for voicing her question. “I’m glad you did,” said the vice president. “I’m glad you did. And again, this is about the fact that your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth, should not be suppressed. And it must be heard, right?”

Yet, no mention was made by Harris or other students about the unsuccessful attempt made a few days earlier by left-wing U.S. House Democrats to withhold funding for Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system, which has repeatedly protected Israeli citizens from terrorist missile attacks.
