September 2021 – After 38 years as AFA Journal, AFA will be changing the magazine’s name to The Stand in January 2022. This reflects the merger of AFA Journal, AFA’s current blogsite (already called The Stand), and Engage, a current division of AFA aimed at better engaging young adults in the ministry’s core values.
The Stand will exist in both print and online formats, and the new version will include a section in each issue that incorporates outreach to millennials and young adults. Little else will change.
“This merger is going to allow us to be more effective in our efforts to transform culture and impact families with articles and features that you care about,” said Walker Wildmon, AFA vice president of operations.
For those who currently receive AFA Journal, you will continue receiving the magazine with its new name and even more relevant content. (See below for more information.)
