September 2021 – U.S. Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) (photo, above), celebrated Independence Day by tweeting, “When they say the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: The freedom they’re referring to is for White people. … Black people still aren’t free.”
Among Black critics of the congresswoman’s tirade was podcast host Darrell B. Harrison, dean of social media at Grace to You, the Bible teaching ministry of Dr. John MacArthur.
“Cori Bush is a … very angry Black woman,” Harrison tweeted. “Her anger is eating her alive from the inside out. … As such, freedom will continue to evade her as long as she carries that anger within her heart.”
