February 2016 – Arianna Nichols (pictured above) has sent more than 6,000 handmade pocket crosses to law enforcement officers in 33 states to express appreciation and to encourage them. The eight-year-old St. Jacob, Illinois, girl’s mother told Fox News that Arianna hopes to send crosses to officers in the 17 remaining states.

“I like to give blue ones to the police officers, and sometimes black for the fallen officers,” Arianna said. “And for the firefighters, I like to do reds and yellows, because it’s fire colors.”
