February 2016 – Monica Cole, director of AFA’s One Million Moms, said ABC is making major changes to the adult-themed Muppets series because its first season (2015) suffered from poor ratings. ABC has replaced the executive producer who took the animated show in a more adult direction. Reports imply that changes will reduce blatant adult references. 1MM warned parents, motivated other media to write about it, and had parents questioning the network.

“I’m hopeful,” Cole said. “Of course, it’s too soon to say if it will be family-friendly, but we will be monitoring it.”

1MM representatives will be at spring Ewomen Conferences in Tulsa, Oklahoma, March 18-19; and Pensacola, Florida, April 22-23. For more information and registration, visit ewomen.net.
