July 2018 – A survey conducted by American Culture and Faith Institute found that a majority of American adults have abandoned traditionally held principles and redefined moral behaviors, especially those that relate to family matters.
The study asked 1,000 adults about the morality of certain family-related behaviors. Five behaviors deemed acceptable by most U.S. adults included:
▶ Getting a divorce – 77%. ▶ Sexual intercourse between unmarried male and female adults – 71%. ▶ Having a baby without being married – 69%. ▶ Intentionally viewing displays of nudity or explicit sexual behavior – 58%.
In addition, almost half of the respondents (48%) said that having an abortion is acceptable.
