September 2018 – According to a study conducted by Pew Research, almost seven in ten Americans (68%) feel fatigued by the amount of news they encounter daily, compared with only three in ten who say they enjoy how much news they consume. Republicans (77%) seem to be more tired of the news than Democrats (61%).
While 62% of those who follow the news nearly constantly are feeling worn out by the news, a substantially higher portion (78%) of those who follow the news less frequently say they are worn out by the amount of it that they see.
