September 2018 – A recent United Kingdom report shows that many sexual predators in the UK have operated in public organizations for as many as 50 years.

In fact, more abuse has reportedly been perpetrated by members of trusted British public institutions than by family members of victims.

According to David Rose from the Daily Caller, “Fourteen percent were abused by members of the clergy, 12% by professionals such as doctors and social workers, and 9% by residential care workers.” About 25% were abused by teachers or other educational staff and 20% by adult family friends or trusted members of the community.

“If history is any indicator, it should be no surprise when this type of moral compromise occurs in a culture that has long been turning from God,” said AFA vice president Buddy Smith.

Other study findings reveal that 40% of victims were 3 to 7 years old when the abuse began; 32% were 8 to 11 years old. Thirty-four percent of victims said they were abused multiple times.
