December 2020The flip-flopping has continued in the ongoing legal battle concerning James Younger, an eight-year-old Texas boy whose mother is fighting the boy’s father to transition their son to a girl. The story was widely covered in 2019, and AFA started a petition asking supporters to pray and stand for Jeffrey Younger and his son.

After a jury initially granted the child’s mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, sole proprietorship, good news came on October 21, 2019, when Judge Kim Cooks overruled the decision and granted joint conservatorship, requiring both parents to agree on all medical, dental, and psychological/psychiatric care.

But things shifted again on August 11, 2020, after Georgulas filed multiple motions challenging for additional rights and exclusive decision-making authority for James and his twin brother Jude.

Judge Mary Brown obliged. Without a proper hearing, she granted Georgulas’s request, requiring Younger to pay $5,000 monthly and a $10,000 retainer fee for counseling that is not of his choosing.

And though the father has expressed a desire to homeschool his sons, Georgulas has reportedly been granted permission to enroll James in school under the name of “Luna.”

The boy has reportedly told multiple people that he wants to be a boy.
