January-February 2020 – Through a new initiative called Chosen, World Vision allows selected children to pick their sponsors. Created with the desire to see even more children find sponsorship, the Chosen program aims to connect children who have been waiting for long periods.
Eight-year-old Nzioki from Mwala, Kenya, had been waiting over a year for a sponsor. Through Chosen, she was able to see and choose her sponsor. Nzioki was encouraged to see that her sponsor was a lawyer because it is her dream to become one as well. Likewise, Chosen sponsors feel equally blessed by being able to help and teach these children. Some say it is an answered prayer for them.
