July 2020The Abortion Pill Rescue Network (APRN) has recently received a record number of calls from women desiring to reverse the effects of the abortion pill they had already taken.

Andrea Trudden, communications director for Heartbeat International, which runs APRN, said, “We are now seeing over 80% of our callers start the reversal process.”

She explained how many calls are being received from women who are in the parking lot of an abortion facility or in the car driving home from a facility because their regret is immediate after taking the first dose of mifepristone, also known as RU-486.

“If a mother who changes her mind after beginning a chemical abortion receives supplemental progesterone before taking the second pill, there is a chance to save the baby’s life and continue with a normal pregnancy,” according to Live Action, one of the nation’s leading pro-life and human rights organizations. “The abortion industry has attempted to discredit the abortion pill reversal process and is using the [COVID-19] pandemic to push for expanding dangerous telemedicine abortions.”

APRN reported that “105 mothers started the process of halting their chemically-induced at-home abortions” during March. Learn more at heartbeatinternational.org.
