July 2020Due to millions of Americans sheltering in place because of COVID-19, two ministries rushed forward early to launch streaming services initially set to release at later dates.

RedeemTV is an arm of Vision Video, a ministry of Christian History Institute (christianhistoryinstitute.org), which also produces Christian History magazine. Made available this spring for free, RedeemTV programming includes documentaries, Christian movies, children’s series, Bible studies, and more. There are no pay-per-view fees, ads, or membership fees, though future premium content will be offered to donors. However, a big portion of content will remain free for all viewers.

Answers in Genesis (AiG), an apologetics ministry based in northern Kentucky, also began delivering video content through Answers.tv, its new streaming service. Ken Ham, CEO of AiG, said the service will “tackle tough topics such as social issues, science, Christian doctrine, questions like why God allows disease and death, and more.” Content includes documentaries, concerts, lectures, and wildlife programming. Yearly subscription is $39.99.
