July 2020 – Fans of Christian author Francine Rivers will be excited to discover her beloved novel Redeeming Love is being made into a movie. Set during the California Gold Rush of 1850, Redeeming Love is an allegorical retelling of the biblical love story of Hosea and Gomer. Written in 1991, a few years after Rivers became a Christian, Redeeming Love has sold over 3 million copies in more than 30 languages, remaining on bestseller lists for over 15 years. It was Rivers’s first of more than two dozen Christian novels. The movie is set to debut in the spring of 2021.
