October 2020Directors of The Chosen, the first multi-season series about the life of Jesus Christ, have begun work on Season 2. Led by director Dallas Jenkins, the project raised approximately $20 million, making it the largest crowdfunded media project in history. Season 1 garnered nearly 50 million views, spanning more than 180 countries and 50 languages. The first season introduced Jesus and several of the disciples, showing the beginning of Christ’s ministry on earth. The second season, according to a VidAngel press release, will follow Jesus and His disciples, while also exploring Jesus’ notoriety among the people.
