September 2020America’s Altar, a new ministry with the goal of seeing scores of people gather together and pray for their country, held its first event on July 2. Evangelist William Owen, founder and president of the ministry, is following God’s call to travel across the country, pulling a custom-built altar behind his motor home. Owen hopes to make stops at various locations to set up the altar and invite people to pour out their hearts for their nation.

According to a recent press release, Williams believes “people of faith have an unprecedented opportunity during this excruciating and troubling time to lead the nation to pray. The vision is to provide a nonintrusive way for people to kneel and present their hearts to God.”

Williams feels only God can provide healing, and until Americans get serious about prayer, true healing won’t come. Williams is hoping to see other ministers who share his burden team up with this vision God has given him.
