April 2021One week after the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion, a pro-life group called Students for Life organized a nationwide event in support of the unborn. On January 29, more than 200 youth stood beside the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Arlington, Virginia. Forming what was called a Life Chain, attendees held signs with pro-life statements for passing drivers to read, slogans such as “Abortion betrays women” and “We are the pro-life generation.” This chain of pro-life support was not alone as similar events took place in 16 other states, including California, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

“We wanted to give people the opportunity to engage with this memorial related to Roe v. Wade,” said Kristi Hamrick, chief media and policy strategist for Students for Life.
