April 2021 – Some Americans credit COVID-19 with strengthening their faith and family lives. A recent poll conducted by Pew Research Center found 28% of Americans claim their faith “has become stronger” during these unprecedented times. Likewise, 41% of Americans polled said the pandemic strengthened family relationships.
According to Christian Headlines, America led the world in citizens whose faith grew stronger during COVID-19, followed by Spain (16%), Italy (15%), Canada (13%), and Australia, France, South Korea, and the United Kingdom (10%).
“The pandemic has led to the cancellation of religious activities and in-person services around the world, but few people say their religious faith has weakened as a result of the outbreak,” the Pew analysis said.
