April 2021 – The Washington Post’s project for tracking President Donald Trump’s allegedly false or misleading claims has ended. According to the Post, there are no plans to apply the same standards of scrutiny to President Joe Biden.
“The database of Trump claims was started a month after Trump became president, …” said Shani George, communications director for the Washington Post. “While we do not have plans to launch a Biden database at this time, we will continue to dig into the accuracy of statements by political figures of all party affiliations.”
The decision not to fact check Biden comes despite his history of distorting the truth.
