June 2021 – According to a report by Americans United for Life (AUL, aul.org), at least 115 abortion facilities in at least 26 states employ untrained, unqualified, and/or unlicensed staff members. For example, one Florida clinic listed not a single licensed abortionist and had no nurses on staff.
In Kentucky a number of clinics had no training or documentation for infection, hygiene, and sterilization. In Virginia a staff member who trained employees and participated in abortion procedures claimed to be a doctor but had no medical license.
A spokesman for Society for Pediatric Urgent Care responded to the AUL report: “The criminal disregard by numerous abortion clinics … testifies to the true nature of a pro-abortion ethos that does not truly care about the women it purports to safeguard.”
