June 2021The documentary Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words was taken down from Amazon’s streaming service including its Amplify Black Voices page, making the conservative justice’s film unavailable during Black History Month. (See review in AFA Journal, 8/20.)

However, the platform includes two films on Anita Hill, who claimed during Thomas’ 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings that he had sexually harassed her. And ironically, Amazon offers four films extolling the first Black supreme court justice, Thurgood Marshall, a justice well noted for his liberal views.

The Thomas film reveals his transparent journey out of hardship, hatred, and anger into a path of grace, humility, and forgiveness.
