June 2021 – Brett Blomme, a county children’s court judge in Milwaukee, has been arrested and charged with seven counts of child pornography possession.
Blomme, former president of an LGBTQ organization that sponsored drag queen story hour events, is accused of uploading 27 videos and pictures of child sexual abuse to the messaging app Kik.
Amid the charges, Blomme has been suspended without pay by the Wisconsin Supreme Court. If convicted, he could face from 3 to 15 years per charge.
