October 2021 – AFA recently released Rose and Odette: Unknown Children of the Holocaust, a young adult historical novel by AFA Journal staff writer Joy Lucius. It tells the real story of Rose and Odette Aboulafia, two children murdered during the Holocaust. In the novel, two contemporary sisters learn about the Aboulafias’ tragic deaths and the historical context.
One reader wrote AFA: “…As a dad with a daughter, this book made me imagine going through [the Holocaust]. [It] made a real impact on me, and the happy twist at the end had me crying like a baby. I highly recommend this book.”
Rose and Odette is available at resources.afa.net or 877.927.4917.
