March 2014 – The first feature length film produced by AFA’s American Family Studios now has a trailer posted for viewing at here.

Summer Snow, a warm and inspiring story of a family trying to hold itself together after the death of the children’s mother, is a perfect first film for AFA, according to Jeff Chamblee, head of AFS.

“This is a family friendly movie that promotes the gospel and yet is very entertaining,” Chamblee said. “This is what AFS was created to do.”

For 37 years – ever since it was founded in 1977 by Rev. Don Wildmon – AFA has tried to call the nation back to a greater sense of decency. Now, with Summer Snow as AFS’s first effort, AFA leadership feels the ministry is not only rebuking the darkness but lighting a candle.

“We are thrilled with this tender-hearted, uplifting and at times even funny film,” said AFA president Tim Wildmon. “It is a top-notch production and, we hope, the first of many.”

Wildmon also said that a portion of the proceeds from Summer Snow will go to the Voice of the Martyrs ministry to support the persecuted church around the world.
