March 2014 – Via Twitter, Girl Scouts of America posted a link to a Huffington Post article and video praising pro-abortion Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis (D) and suggesting her as a potential candidate for 2013 Woman of the Year.

The original Huffington Post material suggested several candidates for Woman of the Year and included remarks praising Wendy Davis for the filibuster she initiated on June 25, 2013, in an unsuccessful attempt to block pro-life legislation.

The Girl Scouts maintained that its tweet was not an endorsement of the ideas presented in the article.
