September 2016 – Charity Navigators has again awarded AFA its highest four-star rating after its review of fiscal and administrative practices. CN is one of the largest and most credible watchdog groups that analyze and rate nonprofit groups.

“We’re always pleased when Charity Navigators recognize that we run our ministry ethically and responsibly,” said AFA president Tim Wildmon.

Among CN’s findings: 92% of contributions to AFA are spent on programs and services, with only 4.1% going to administrative expenses and 3.8% to fundraising.
