November 2017 – American pastor Andrew Brunson faces charges from a Turkish court for connection to a group the Turkish government accused of attempting to overthrow the government last year. He was imprisoned in October, 2016.
“I am a defender of Jesus Christ,” Brunson said, denying the connection. “I will never support any Islamic movement.”
