September 2017 – In June 2016, Canada implemented euthanasia. The yearly report from the Provincial Commission on End-of-Life Care showed devastating results. Twenty-one people who were not terminally ill were killed in Quebec.
Underreporting has also been an issue. Alex Schadenberg of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition says the law’s vague language is only creating more opportunities for illegal euthanasia such as lethal dosages given to the mentally handicapped and depressed, or people who do not give consent, all of which have been alleged in Europe.
