August 2018 – On the heels of the release of 13 Reasons Why Season 2, Netflix recently confirmed its renewal of the controversial series for a third season in 2019. It is a slap in the face to all who have voiced valid concerns over the series that glorifies suicide, substance abuse, sexual assault, and more.
AFA is partnering with Parents Television Council to form a coalition and put maximum pressure on Netflix to end this damaging series.
Those who have joined the coalition thus far include: American Family Association of Pennsylvania, Illinois Family Institute, National Center on Sexual Exploitation, Mission America, Citizens for Decency, Family First New Zealand, Australian Christian Lobby Centre for Human Dignity, Family Watch International, Media Research Center, and Enough is Enough.
Join the efforts; sign a petition at afa.net/Netflix urging Netflix to pull both Seasons 1 and 2 of 13 Reasons Why.
