January-February 2018 – There is a marked decline of mainstream religion, including Christianity, among the younger population of America. According to some observers, corresponding to this decline is a growing interest in Wicca and other forms of paganism, though not a large or overwhelming one.

Pagan or Wiccan student groups have been formed on several college campuses — both secular and religious — in the U.S. Pew Research Center found 25% of Americans identify as “not religious,” as opposed to 2011’s 18%. Along with that, a 2014 National Science Foundation study found nearly 50% of all Americans say astrology is either “very scientific” or “sort of scientific.”
