June 2018 – The 25th annual National Conference on Christian Apologetics will convene October 12-13 at Calvary Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is hosted by Southern Evangelical Seminary. Covering two full days, the conference will feature 65 speakers in 87 sessions.
“That’s quite an ambitious agenda,” said Jeff Chamblee, director of American Family Studios. “But we know from experience that it is an incredibly valuable resource for informing, equipping, and challenging participants to strengthen their grasp on the Christian faith and how to defend it in their daily walk.” AFA is an official sponsor of the event.
Among the noteworthy speakers are Ravi Zacharias of Let My People Think (heard on AFR, 10:30 a.m. Sunday) and Frank Turek (host of Cross Examined on AFR, 9:00 a.m. Saturday and 4:00 p.m. Sunday). Turek is featured frequently on AFA’s blog site, The Stand. One of his recent commentaries appears here.
Other speakers include Richard Howe, Josh McDowell, Norman Geisler, and SES president Richard Land.
Scholars from SES, Reasons to Believe, and Institute for Creation Research will offer a panel discussion on whether the age of the earth is a matter of biblical authority.
Early bird registration is available June 1 to August 1. A complete list of speakers and more information are available at ses.edu.
