June 2018 – Before starting a national book tour for her new memoir, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards issued a quick plug for adoption – of dogs, not babies.
With an adorable picture of her pet dachshund and the hashtag #AdoptDontShop, Richards urged Americans to rescue dogs in animal shelters rather than purchase a new pet.
“Richards apparently misses the irony and hypocrisy of her campaign to rescue dogs, albeit a worthy one, since she is complicit in the abortion of over 300,000 babies a year,” said AFA president Tim Wildmon.
Richards was expected to step down from her role at the abortion giant in May.
